Carolyn Waters Lynn, 77, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Tattnall Community Hospital. A Glennville, Georgia native who resided in the Tattnall Co. area from birth in 1930. Carolyn graduated from Glennville High School in 1947, and attended the Georgia Teacher's College. She retired from the Farm Program Service Agency in Reidsville in 1986, after 34 years. Memories of Carolyn as the devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother extraordinaire will be cherished by friends and family, always. Her kitchen was the family gathering place and her home and heart were always open.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell Ward Waters and Mada Smith Waters and a brother, Dan Waters. She was survived by her husband of 58 years, Byron Lynn; son Dr. Steve Lynn and his wife Miriam Lynn, of Collins and granddaughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Lynn of Athens, GA. She was also survived by her brother Wendell Lynn and his wife, Bobbie Waters, of Reidsville, and sister-in-law Nell Waters of Glennville; also five nieces, two nephews, and many cousins.
Funeral services were conducted from the Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hudson officiating. Interment followed in the Little Flock Church Cemetery.
