Dewey Jones, age 80, of Valley Forge Rd., died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC. Born April 7, 1926 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late Newberry Jones and Annie Jones. Mr. Jones was a retired automobile delearship owner and was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church in Aynor. He was predeceased by his wife, Mavis Martha Skipper Jones in March of 2006. Survivors include: a daughter, Linda Jones and her husband, Rick Rodger, of Myrtle Beach; three sons, Wayne Jones of Goose Creek, SC, Glenn Jones and his wife, Kathy, of Summerville, SC, Rick Jones and, Wendy James, of Conway; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a sister, Madge Johnson of Conway. Funeral sevices will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday from Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Doc Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
