STANLEY SERVICES HELD SATURDAY

Funeral services were conducted in the United Methodist Church here Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Letha May Stanley, 84, who died early Thursday morning, February 6, 1975, in Laverne General Hospital.
Rev. Hugh Harrison, pastor of the church officiated at the services. Interment was in Gate (Beaver County Oklahoma) Cemetery under the direction of the Seeger Funeral Home.
Letha May Haynes, daughter of Larkin and Catherine (Brown) Haynes was born February 23, 1890 near Blue Mound, Livingston County, Missouri. In 1902, at the age of 12 she came to Oklahoma Territory with her parents and 3 sisters. The family homesteaded northwest of what became Rosston, (Harper County) Oklahoma. Here, a brother, Cecil Ellis Haynes was born in 1906 but died in a farm accident in 1931.
On October 35, 1908, she and Otto Stanley were married. They became the parents of two sons, Orville Leroy and Charles Larkin.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley raised their sons on the farm and spent most of their married life there. In 1945, they moved to Laverne (Harper County) Oklahoma where they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 25, 1968.
Mr. Stanley preceded her in death, October 12, 1972.
Mrs. Stanley was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Laverne as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by her two sons, Orville of Guymon, Oklahoma, and Charles of La Jolla, California; six grandchildren; l0 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Alpha Parks, Central Point, Oregon, and Elsie Davis, Torrance, California.
