Committal services for Dr.
Maurice J. Lewi, 89, oldest
alumnus of Albany Medical
College were conducted today
in Beth Emeth Cemetery,
Loudonville
Dr. Lewi, head of New York
College of Podiatry, died Sunday
in his sleep at his home
in the Hotel Luzerne, New
York City.
A native of Albany, he had
lived in New York City since
1912. He was a founder and
past president of the Albany
Society of New York. Survivors
include a sister. Miss
Alice Lewi, Albany; a daughter,
Mrs. Leo Hertz, and three
grandchildren
