Andrew Wegenka, the son of Martin and Mary Anna (Rozga) Wegienka, was born on November 16, 1860 in the Polish province of Poznan. He married first Katherine Wieloch on May 1, 1887 in Manistee, Michigan. She died on May 24, 1902. He married second the widow, Kathryn (Miklajewski) Dyczewski, on July 17, 1902, also in Manistee, Michigan.
