HOYT WILDMAN AND DAUGHTER KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT

Montezuma, Ia. - A 42-year-old New Sharon farmer and his 11-year-old daughter were injured fatally about 8:15 a.m. Monday in a collision of his car and a semi-trailer transport truck loaded with cattle.
Killed were Hoyt Wildman, who farms about 4 miles south of New Sharon, and his daughter, Judy.
Wildman's wife, Mrs. Grace Fleener Wildman, 38, and another daughter, Joan, 18, were hospitalized at Oskalooosa. Mrs. Wildman was reported in critical condition.
The transport truck was owned by the Grinnell Transport Co. and driven by Ernest Courtney of Grinnell. He suffered cuts and bruises. The accident occurred 3 miles south of here on Highway 63.
Deputy Sheriff Harold Weidow said the Wildman family was en route to Greene were another daughter, Jean, about 14, was visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Wildman and daughters. Dale and Hoyt were brothers and their wives are sisters.
Weidow said the transport truck, southbound, was going up a hill and appeared to be at least partly in the left lane of traffic when the collision occurred.
