OBITUARY
"CHARLES HOYT WILDMAN"
"Charles Hoyt Wildman was born at Lynnville, Iowa January 30, 1913 and entered into rest August 1, 1955. He was the son of Mrs. A.T. Gifford of Lynnville. He spent his boyhood in Lynnville and was graduated from Lynnville High School in the class of 1931. In June 1936 he was united in marriage to Miss Grace Fleener of Searsboro and to that union were born three daughters: Joan, Jean and Judy.
After living in Lynnville and Kellogg for several years they moved to a farm between New Sharon and Lacey. Surviving him are his wife, Grace, who is still in critical condition in Mahaska Hospital; two daughters, Joan, 18 and Jean, 15; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Gifford; three brothers, Wayne of Sully, Iowa, Dale of Green, Iowa, and Keith of Pomona, California; a half brother, Clair Gifford of Pella and a step-brother, Ward Gifford of Grinnell.
Rev. Dwight Walker, pastor of the Christian church in Oskaloosa, and Rev. Carl D. Byrd had charge of the services at the Lynnville Friends Church, Thursday morning. Interment was in the Woodland Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ralph Mitchell, Clifford Long, Lloyd Rice, Elmer Schock, Frank Johnson and Leland Taylor of the Lacey community. Flower attendants: Mrs. John Lowes, Mrs. Fred Zimmerman and Mrs. Roy Faulkner Foster. Musical selections, "The Old Rugged Cross" was sung by a quartet composed of Abe Vander Beek, Lyle Brand, Warren Stanley and Kermit Ratcliff. Mrs. H.A. Gause and Mrs. Carl Bryd sang "Ivory Palaces." Mrs. Howrd Macy was the accompanist."
