Murvle later married Mary Atha Dawson, whom he had known since both were in grade school. They had been married 27 years at the time of his death.
Murvle served in the US Army during World War II, then in the Civil Service. After retiring, Murvle and Mary spent time traveling. After retirement, Murvle also discovered the joys of raising and showing Llamas. Murvle also loved working with his church. Together with his pastor, Brother Denver McGuire, they installed new windows, siding, poured concrete sidewalks and other improvements to the church. He also took care of the lawn at the Sharon Baptist Church.
Murvle is survived by his wife, three children, a step son, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Rena Mae Goesling. He is pictured at right with his family. He is the first on the left, back row.
God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you and whispered come unto me.
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away
And though we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only take the best.
