Mary was united in marriage to Richard Eugene Aberer at Steelville, Missouri on October 27, 1951 and to this union three children were born Eugene Christopher, Mary Ann and Anna Louise.
Mary retired in 1993 after 20 years of dedicated service from Briarwood Nursing Home as a cook. She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cuba. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, raising flowers, camping and was a Girl Scout Leader in the Cuba area for many years. What she truly enjoyed most was spending time with her family, feriends and spoiling her grandchildren.
Mary was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt, great aunt and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Chris and Minnie Enke, husband Richard Eugene Aberer, son-in-law Sonny Osborne, granddaughter, Gale Osborne, sister Lucille and husband Johnny Giles, one brother Calvin Enke, brother-in-law Tom Fowler and other relatives and friends.
Those who left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children Chris and wife Emma Aberer of Cuba, Mary Ann Osborne and friend Jerry Conway of Leasburg and Anna Louise and husband Kevin Roy of St. James, three grandchildren Steven, Bridget and David, seven step grandchildren Dawn, Jeffrey, James, Amy, Kathleen Lace, Kristi Lei and Kasyl Loise, fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Irene Fowler of Ankeny, Iowa formerly of St. Louis, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
