OBITUARY from Gillette News Record, September 13, 1956ed:

Requiem mass was held for Guy W. Shallers, 86, Thursday, September 6, at 10:00 a.m. from St. Matthew's church of Gillette with the Rev. Father George Stoll officiating.

Mr. Shallers had been in ill health for the past seven weeks at a hospital in Little Falls, Minnesota. He passed away on September 2.

Shallers was a rancher in Campbell county for a good many years until he retired and moved to Little Falls, Minnesota.

Requiem mass was sung by Miss Helen Rohan, Mrs. C.P. Ernst and Mrs. Martin Fleck. They were accompainied by Mrs R.P. McCreery at the organ.

Pallbearers were Glen Hayden, William Evans, Nick Straatsma, Wayne Eldridge, Otis Clements and Noble Cates. Interment was made at Mount Pisgah Cemetery.

Guy W. Shallers was born at Danville, Illinois, on February 2, 1870.

On June 3, 1895, he was united in marriage to Sarah Tanner at Niobrara, Nebraska. Three children were born to this union. In 1919 the family moved to Wyoming and homesteaded in this county.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Osha Geary of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mrs Josie Whipple of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and one brother, Frank M. Shallers of Little Falls, Minnesota.

Out-of-town people here for the last rites were Mrs. James Norskog, Big Horn, Wyoming; Mrs. Osha Geary, Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Josis Whippe, Green Bay, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shallers, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Tanner, Newscastle, Wyoming; and A.J. Tanner, Sheridan, Wyoming.
