Miss Sarah E. Power, age 85, a sister of two of Montana's prominent early-day builders, the late T. C. and J. W. Power, passed away at St. John's hospital in Helena Thursday morning after a lingering illness. Miss Power was well known to all of the older residents of this county as she lived in Fort Benton from 1875 to 1901, when she with her brothers moved to Helena where she has resided since that time. She had resided in Montana for about sixty years. She made the trip to Montana by the steamer "Benton" in 1875, and since that time has been prominent in civic life and charity work. Her passing marks the last of four sturdy pioneers who played a remarkable part in Montana early day life. She is survived by three nephews, John and Charles B. Power, of Helena, and Rev. Lee T. Martin, of Spokane, Washington.

Montana Certificate of Death shows Sarah E. Power died on April 18, 1935 at Helena, Lewis and Clark County: aged 85, born April 6, 1850 in Iowa; single; father, Michael Power; mother, (?) McAleer; burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
