Civil War: Enlisted 2-20-1864 34th Infantry Regiment, Iowa Transferred Company Nov. 12, 1964 Mustered out Aug. 15, 1865 Houston, TX. Fought in Siege of Blakely, Alabama BURNS, JOHN Age 18, nativity Missouri, enlisted Jan. 20, 1864, transferred to Company C 34th Consolidated Battalion, Nov. 12, 1864 Mined at Cripple Creek near Colorado Springs, CO. Also was a volunteer fireman. The photo of Jack holding pistol was taken at Grand Lake, Grand Co., CO. He also owned a cabin there.
