Orman (Lefty) Behnke, 72, of 746 Lee Ave., Brillion, died Tuesday, July 4, 1989 at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center, Neenah.
He was born June 19, 1917, in Brillion, son of the late Ernest and Alvina Jandrey Behnke. He married Bernice Labitzke, Dec. 16, 1948, in Brillion. He was owner and operator of the Brillion Building Supply and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Margo and William Kees, and Karla and Steven Miller, all of Brillion; four grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carmin and Jerry Becker, Neenah; Jeanette Wenzel, Fort Lauderdale, FL; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbert and Mary Katherine Behnke and Kenneth and Gert Behnke, all of Brillion, and many nieces and nephews.
His wife preceded him in death Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. Burial was in the Brillion Community Cemetery.
