Margaret was the daughter of Espiridion and Juana Garcia. She was born in Fresno California and went to school in Fresno and Reedley. In 1937 Margarets mother Juanita died after suffering from advanced stages of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Then in 1940 Her younger sister Annie(birth name Genara) would also be stricken by Tuberculosis and passed away. And finally in 1944 Margaret eventually succumbed to Bilateral Pulmonary Tuberculosis after spending 13 months in the Fresno General Hospital, she was laid to rest at Reedley Cemetery where eventually two of her brothers and her father would themselves be laid to rest. She lived a very short time but will never be forgotten.

It is not known why Reedley Cemetery has her name listed as Mary Garcia, but the birthdate and death dates are an exact match. Their records state her brother Paul was the owner of her grave.
