Stephen A. Kaczmarczyk, 80, of 22 Myers St., a World War II veteran, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, at home after being stricken ill...

He was born in Lowell, the son of Felix and Mary Kaczmarczyk, and lived there for 40 years. He then lived in Delaware for 30 years before moving to Putnam in 1998. He graduated from Lowell High School, and attended Lowell Technical College. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Kaczmarczyk was a technician at DuPont Co. until he retired in 1990. He also co-owned and operated Seams, Inc. in Delaware for several years with his wife. He was a former member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell. He was a member of the Putnam Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Polish American Veterans, the Polish American Citizens Club and the TSKK, all of Webster. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, from the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity, High Street, Lowell. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell, in the spring. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13 in the Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., Webster, and 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 in the Dracut Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
