THREE OAKS, Sept. 10 (Special) James Marshall, 46, of 309 North Elm street, died at 8 p. m., Monday in St Anthony's hospital, Michigan City, Ind., where he was taken Sunday after he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was born May 21, 1900, In Bridgman, and on June 24, 1924, he married Miss Fern Akin of Three Oaks. Mr. Marshall was a foreman in the machine shop of the Warren Featherbone company, and was a member of the Foreman's club of that company. He also was a member of the Christian church.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Martin and Mrs. June Hoskins, or xnree vans, and Dorothy and Ruth at home; four grandchildren, and his mother, Mrs. David Baker, of Mishawaka, Ind.

He also leaves three brothers, Harry, of Chicago, Charles, of Mishawaka, Ind., and Albert, of Bridgman: and three sisters, Mrs. Lulu LaPlate, of South Bend, and Mrs. Grace Briet and Mrs. Ruth Ziegert, of Mishawaka Ind.

His father, James Marshall, died 14 years ago.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday in the Methodist church. The Rev. Harold Kaufman will officiate, and burial will be made in Riverside cemetery. " From the Herald-Press, September 10, 1946, page 8
