Philip Selby and Mary Simmons were about twenty when they married in 1794.

The 1870 Census revealed Mary was living alone. Her son, Owen and family lived on the farm next door. Household members: Mary Selby (95), cook, Nelly Selby (60) and farm laborer, Sisley Bordwell (50).

Mary lived to age 95.
