She was married to Morris F. Fussell January 23, 1879 at Fishersburg, Ind.
She and her husband moved to northwestern Missouri in November 1880. They remained there until 1904, when they moved to Geneva, Neb. In 1927 they went to Houston, Tex., to live with a daughter, a teacher in the city schools.
Mrs. Fussell became a Christian in early life. At the time of her death, she was a member of the First Christian church of Houston.
Before her marriage she taught school in Indiana, and in later years she became a nurse. She was cheerful, sympathetic, and kind, and was loved by her patients.
She leaves, besides her husband, two daughters, Jessie Fussell Graham of Houston, Tex., and Lola M. Fussell of Oakland, Cal., and three sons; Harry E. of Houston, LeRoy of Lincoln, Neb., and Fred M. of Syracuse, N. Y. One son, Howard, died in infancy. There are also six grandchildren, including Ben Fussell of Geneva, and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at Houston at 7 p. m. Tuesday, September 13. The body was brought to Geneva by Mrs. Graham, arriving Thursday evening. A service was held at the Geneva Christian church at 2 p. m. Friday, Rev. H. S. Souder officiating. Mrs. E. L. Cumberland read "Crossing the Bar" at the request of the deceased. Mrs. A. H. Elder and Mrs. H. A. Rosenau sang. Mrs. F. M. Holtz was at the piano.
Interment was in the family lot at the Geneva cemetery.
