William S. "Sam" Barnes, 81, of Kingdom City, MO died Saturday, December 23, 1995 at the University of Missouri Health Center in Columbia, MO. He was born March 29, 1914 in Montgomery County, MO the son of William & Clara (Heebner) Barnes. He was married to Elizabeth L. (Dawson) on December 4, 1944 in Fulton, MO. She survives at the home. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Raymond Barnes. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He served in the Missouri National Guard and was a member of the 175th Military Police Batt. Company B, and served in Germany. He worked at Benkes Trade Center for 12 years until he was sent to duty in Germany. When he returned he worked for 18 years at the Fulton State Hospital Biggs Building until he retired in 1974 with a perfect attendance record. Jim Robinson officiated and burial was at the Callaway Memorial Gardens.
