Jozef was born in Kadzidło, Poland. His parents were Jan Brzozowy and Mary Cushta. He married Marcyanna Nodotek on January 15, 1899 in Bridgeport, CT. He lived his adult life on G Street in Turners Falls, MA as early as 1896. He worked in Thomas' Brickyard making the bricks that the local buildings are constructed from.
