CRAWFORDSVILLE - Mrs. Vera E. (Anglin) Allison, 61, of Crawfordsville, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1970, in her home following an illness of several months. Born in Montgomery County, she was married in 1963 to Russell Allison, who survives.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Long of Crawfordsville; a son, Mike Threlkeld of Crawfordsville; a stepson, Eugene Allison of Williamsport; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Patty Fisher of Lafayette; her mother, Mrs. Elda Anglin of Crawfordsville; five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Gross of Lafayette, Mrs. Della Weir, Mrs. Darlene Clark, Mrs. Louise Patton, and Mrs. Edith Hutchison, all of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Kenneth Anglin of Crawfordsville and Don Anglin of Naples, FL; two half-brothers, Ralph Anglin of Clarks Hill and Joe Anglin of Crawfordsville; and a half-sister, Mrs. Pearl Sachs of Indianapolis.

NOTE: The engraving on her headstone lists her birth as 1906, which is not correct. Her birth year is correctly 1909, per Crawfordsville newspaper articles on 13 and 17 September 1909, for Vera Eveline Anglin. This is also supported by the 1910, 1920, and 1930 census records, and her age of 61 per the obituary.
