Mrs. Iris Neal Alford, 92, of Jackson, MS passed away peacefully at Rolling Acres Retirement Home in Raleigh, MS surrounded by family on July 1, 2012. Iris was born in Webster County, MS on July 25, 1919 to the late Will and Mildred Milton Neal. She moved to Jackson, MS in the early 1940s and began work with Deposit Guaranty Bank where she remained for 38 years. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She moved to Summerland Manor Assisted Living in Bay Springs, MS in 2008 and to Rolling Acres Retirement Center for the past 7 months.
She is preceded in death by her only sibling Mrs. Arlyne Neal de Medicis and husband Jim of Jackson.
She is survived by niece Miriam de Medicis Hurdle and her husband Noble of Taylorsville, MS, niece Judy de Medicis Cooley of Baton Rouge, LA and nephew Gene de Medicis and his wife Lynn of Picayune, MS, 7 great-nieces and great- nephews, and 10 great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
