Mary (McMurdo) Bleasdale was a Scottish immigrant, who arrived in Ogallala in 1880 with her family. She met Howard Bleasdale, a local bookkeeper and real estate agent. The couple married in Ogallala and by the fall of 1883, they were expecting their first child. Sadly, Mary died in childbirth and was buried on Boot Hill.
