He married Margie Aldrich on Jan 26, 1945 in Topeka, KS. He was a retired Lyon County,KS road and bridge dept. road maintainer. He had no children, but was survived by his wife; a niece, Elva Rees of Emporia, and many great-nephews/great-nieces & cousins. He was 107 years old.
