James Jaquish, a well known man about town, and a veteran of the late Civil War, died at 10:30 Saturday afternoon of general debility. The deceased was 59 years old had resided in Plymouth since childhood. At the outbreak of the war between the North and South he enlisted in the 148d Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served for three years, at the end of which he was given an honorable discharge. Whatever else may be laid about him, it can never be charged against him that he was a coward, for a braver soldier never shouldered a gun. The deceased is survived by a wife and the following children: Peter, George and Wesley Jaquish. He is also survived by his mother and the following brother and sisters: George Jaquish, Ackley street, and Mrs. F. Howard Armstrong and Mrs. Charles Garrison, Main street, Plymouth. The funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon from his late home on Blair street, and the remains will be interred in Shawnee cemetery.
