PEORIA -- Harvey C. Allenspach, 79, of 2213 N. Reservoir died at 7:32 p.m. Sunday at his residence.

Born March 24, 1915, in Fairmount, N.D., to Ernest and Minna M. Raebel Allenspach, he married Wilma E. Janssen on Aug. 31, 1940, in East Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, James M. of Middletown, Conn.; two daughters, Janet Allenspach-Green of Napa, Calif., and Linda M. Revere of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Joe of Stillwater, Minn., and Ben of Pekin; and three sisters, Bernice Weeks of Morton, Margaret Carson of Janesville, Wis., and Esther Lahr of Tama, Iowa. He was preceded in death by one sister.

He was a project manager in production control at WABCO, retiring in 1981. He was a volunteer for the American Red Cross in Peoria and the Wheels of Time Museum.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Peoria.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home. The Rev. Craig Stanford will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, Central Illinois Chapter.
