Gordon Russell Huffman 87 of Roanoke Virginia passed away Monday Feruary 16 2004.
Russell operated the Huffman Garage in Garden City Roanoke Virginia for thirty-five years.
He was born December 29 1916 and was a son of the late Stonewall G. and Essie Pearcey Huffman.
He was preceded in death by his wife--Claudine Paxton Huffman who passed away May 30 1991 whom he had been married to for fifty-five years.
Two brothers--Curtis Huffman and Victor Huffman.
He is survived by two sons--Jerry W. Huffman and wife Barbara and Bobby L. Huffman and special friend Claudette Powell all of Roanoke Virginia.
One brother--Waymouth Huffman and wife Mildred of Hopewell Virginia.
One sister--Marie Huffman Martin of Roanoke Virginia.
One ex-daughter-in-law--Janice Boyd Huffman Comer.
Two granddaughters--Melissa Huffman Anderson and husband Dennis and Lori Huffman Reed and husband Tom.
Four grandsons--Doug Huffman and wife Sue--Jimmy Huffman--Tracy Huffman and wife Kristie and Kelly Huffman and wife Lee Ann all of Roanoke Virginia.
Ten great grandchildren and several Nieces and nephews.
One special friend--Ralph Curd of Vinton Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at eleven Friday February 20 2004 at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel officiated by Chaplain Marvin Barbre.
The family will receive friends from four to nine on Wednesday also four to nine on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are--Doug Huffman--Jimmy Huffman--Tracy Huffman--Kelly Huffman--Dennis Anderson and Tom Reed.
Burial will be in the Sherwood Memorial Park at Salem Virginia.
