WALCOTT, Iowa--Services for Elmer J. Brockmann, 84, of Walcott, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Runge and Crematory, Davenport, with Masonic services conducted by Fraternal Lodge 221 A.F. and A.M. Burial will be in Walcott Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the Mortuary.
Mr. Brockmann died Thursday, May 28, 1998, at Crest Health Center, Davenport, after a brief illness.
Elmer farmed in the Walcott area all of his life.
He was born May 11, 1914, in Muscatine County, to Harry A. and Ella M. (Kautz) Brockmann. He married Alberta Riessen on March 18, 1936, in Davenport.
He was a member of Fraternal Lodge 221 A.F. & A.M., Kaaba Shrine, Mohassan Grotto, Scottish Rite Bodies and High 12 Club 47.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or Walcott Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Keith Moore, Davenport, and Peggy and Ron Sleep, Long Grove; sons, John and his wife, Janet Brockmann of Walcott, Chuck and his wife, Kim Brockmann of Long Grove, and Jim and his wife, Rhonda Brockmann of Walcott; 18 grandchildren ; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Smith, Reno, Nev.
