Funeral service arrangements for Mrs. Anita Walkup, Valliant, were pending Tuesday, May 2, with Coffey Funeral Home.
Wife of Donald Walkup, Mrs. Walkup died unexpectedly at 2:00 p.m. in Norman, where a daughter lives.
She was born March 22, 1910 (Sic), a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hatcher. She had lived in the Valliant area all her life and was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by nine children and 17 grandchildren. The former are Warren Walkup, Hugo; Herbert Walkup and Miss Doris Walkup, both of Valliant; Fulton Walkup and Mrs. Ruth Scott, both of Ft. Towson; Mrs. June Huffman, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Helen Smith, Norman; Ronald Walkup, Denver, Colo., and Donald Walkup, with the United States Marine Corps.
Nine brothers and sisters include these living at Valliant; Lan Hatcher, Mrs. Essie Hunter and Mrs. Georgia Gennis.
