She married Malcolm McLeod in Bruce, Ontario, where most of the family had moved from Huron. In the mid 1870's, most of the family members had immigrated to Lapeer, Michigan, USA. They helped raise her brother's daughter Mary Jane Mogg, who's mother had died young. And eventually had their son George Henry. Moving a little west to Denver, Isabella, Michigan they had daughter Eva Elizabeth. In the mid 1890's they ventured on to Alberta, Canada along with some of Mary's brothers.
