Catterina immigrated to the U.S. in 1906 joining her husband in Westmoreland Co., PA. The pair then settled in Upper St. Clair, Allegheny, Co.
They had eight children; five sons, Angelo, Abramo, John, Louis, Joseph and Peter Bombassaro, and two daughers, Ann Bombassaro Balach and Mary Bombassaro Tuttle.
Catterina had three siblings, Maria Lira Brandalise of Arsie, Italy, Domenico-Giacobbe Lira of Argenteuill, France and Abramo Pietro Lira of Beadling, Pennsylvania.
Catterina passed away on 2 May 1946 at age 66.
