AJ Horne was a good family man who together with his wife Emma McCall had two children, Leslie and Lillian Horne Davis. Emma McCall died young at the age of 30. From the notes remaining, all who knew her, missed her dearly. AJ Horne Sr had a stroke in the ladder stages of his life leaving him more reliant on his housekeeper Annie Wishman. Everyone loved Annie. When Amos Johnson Horne died in 1933 he willed his home and part of his land to her.
