He was born April 4, 1896, in Marinette and was a former sailor of the Great Lakes and also commercial fisherman. Mr. Gamlin was a member of Marinette World War 1 Barracks and Menominee Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He served in the Army in France during World War I. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Zeitler Purath Funeral Home in Marinette from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until time of services there Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. James Feely will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. A wake service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The World War 1 Barracks will conduct a visitation there Wednesday at 7 p.m., followed by a VFW visitation at 7:15.
