David, son of Muttel and Rachel, was born in Bedzin, Poland where his family owned a lumberyard. The family name was Trajman in Poland. David left Poland in 1909 for Paris, France where he met his wife Anna Orloff. They married in 1919.

He fought for the French in WWI, was wounded twice and had Rheumatic fever. He was a milliner by profession.

He immigrated to NYC on March 6, 1921. He and Anna had three children - Marcel, Henry and Millicent. For a short time David ran a candy store in Brownsville on Brook Ave. NYC. He was a political activist, union organizer, communist and a Member of the International Workers Order.

David died of Rheumatic Heart disease.
