Art Magnuson, 95, of Greeley, passed away in his home on September 9, 2012. He was born on November 16, 1916 in Denver, Colorado to Morris and Jenny (Berggren) Magnuson. He married Ellen Holm in January of 1936.
Art lived in the Greeley and Evans area all of his married life.
He owned and operated Magnuson Wholesale Feeds. His work was his hobby and his passion.
Art was a member of Immanuel Lutheran where he served on the church board from 1995 to 1997.
He is survived by his son, Larry Magnuson and daughter-in-law, Judith Magnuson. He is also survived by grandchildren, LaVerne (Barb) Thompson, Cheryl (Rich) Armenta, Mark (Tami) Magnuson, Daryl (Yvonne) Magnuson, Art (Lori) Magnuson and Chris (Carla) Magnuson; as well as 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded by his parents, wife, daughter Shirley Thompson, and son Wayne Magnuson.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall.
