Most likely it was a government issued headstone. I've searched this cemetery
several times now with negative results. Records show that he is buried in the
same lot as Alberta Brewer (not sure of the relationship, if any).
It is most likely that the stone is gone and the only space that is not marked
and would support an unmarked grave would be to the the right of Alberta's
marker. I am posting a photo of this unmarked grave so that at least there will
be something to show to document John's grave.
