Gerlene "Gerri" Trentham Gerri Trentham , daughter of Henry John Thele and Matilda Ann (Koening) Thele , was born March 24, 1933 near Glennon, MO and entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2012 at her home near Licking, MO.

She was united in marriage to John Hobart Trentham on June 27, 1953. To this union 4 children were born. They started their married life in the Kirkwood, MO area. They moved to Licking, MO in June of 1965.

Gerri graduated from Leopold High School and worked at the local shoe factory during high school. After moving to Kirkwood she worked for South Western Bell Telephone. In Licking she worked for Rawlings Sporting Goods for 6 years and then worked for Fox Funeral Home. She was president of the Licking V.F.W. Post #6337 Ladies Auxiliary for six years.

Gerri enjoyed camping, antiquing, and fish fries with friends and family. Gerri enjoyed going on trips with her husband to Branson and trips with her friends, most of all Gerri enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren

She took great pleasure in decorating for all holidays, especially Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Not only did she decorate the inside but also the outside and yard all to see the smiles and wide eyes of her grandchildren. (As a matter of fact her husband and kids prayed there would not be an area electric black out every year the first time she turned her Christmas lights on.)

She was preceded in death by her father and mother; three brothers, William Thele, Richard Thele, and Jacob Thele; three sisters, Marcella Jentch, Juletta Thele, Imogene Carter; and a son-in-law, Kevin Floyd.

She is survived by her husband Hobart ,of whom she had been married to for 59 years of the home; her children Dan and wife Diane of Licking, MO, Tom and friend Joan of Iberia, MO, Bob and wife Carolyn of Ozark, MO and Cheryl Floyd of Licking, MO; 4 granddaughters, 5 grandsons an 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers John Thele of Scopus, MO, Robert Thele of Jackson, MO, Harry Thele of Fruitland, MO and Kenneth Thele of Glennon, MO; two sisters, Evelyn Conner of Festus, MO, Judy Stause of Glennon, MO, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews , other relatives and friends.

Gerri will be in her family's hearts forever. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a good friend; she will be missed by all.

Mass was held Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Licking, MO., with Fr. Dan Hirtz officiating.

Pallbearers were Christopher Trentham, Nathaniel Trentham, Matthew Trentham, Jacob Floyd Melissa Hathcock and Michelle Lansing. Active honorary pallbearers were Telena Sellars, Kaitlyn Trentham, Kandi Grisham, Ron Stone, Mary Stone and Mel Porter. Interment was in Licking Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Texas County Hospice of Care or Licking V.F.W. Post 6337 Ladies Auxiliary. Arrangements under direction of Fox Funeral Home, Licking.
