Erma Bloede Carr, of Waukesha, formerly of North Prairie, died on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 97. She was born in Packwaukee, WI on September 15, 1914 the daughter of William and Mary (nee Mike) Bloede. Erma was a longtime employee of the Waukesha Motor Co. and she also worked for the Fred Schmidt Co. after moving to North Prairie. She was a faithful and longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in North Prairie. Erma enjoyed bowling and golfing and loved to play cards. She was an avid knitter and was always knitting something for someone.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milford on January 2, 1996, by her sister Lorraine Oestreich, and her brothers Edward and Ervin Bloede.


Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 4:00 until 6:00PM at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 312 N. Main Street, North Prairie, WI 53153. Reverend Dan Torkelson will preside. Entombment will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. If desired, memorials are appreciated to St. John's Lutheran Church (address above).
