Sam was born in Hutchinson Twp to Ole and Marie (Jepson). He was one of 7 children including Sena, born 1883, (later Mrs Fred Bungard), Jetti (later Mrs Jens Jensen), John, Carl M, born 1894, Lena, born 1889,(later Mrs. Holger Olsen) and Kamilla, born 1891, (later Mrs. Nels Jensen).
William (Sam) never married and lived and worked at the Hotel Jorgensen as a clerk and custodian.
He died at the Hutchinson Community Hospital at the age of 81 after residing at Burns Manor Nursing Home for the previous 2 years. His survivors included sister Sena, brother-in-law Jens, and 18 nieces and nephews.
