Lennon Lost a Leg at Shiloh
Hutchinson., Minn.-William Lennon, a veteran of the Civil war, is dead at the age of 60. His infancy was spent in an orphan asylum in New York, and he never knew father or mother. In 1862 he enlisted in the Eighth Michigan cavalry and served until the battle of Shiloh, where he lost a leg. He spent a portion of his time of late years in the Soldiers' Home and was drawing a pension of $46 a month. He was buried by his comrades.
