LITTLETON F. Welch
Littleton Franklin Welch, 82, of 408 Prospect Street, died Thursday evening (July 29, 1937) in his home after a long illness. Born in Oakridge, VA, he came to Westfield when he was twelve years of age,
In 1868 he, with his brother William S. Welch, organized a decorating contracting company known as Welch Bros. Inc. For many years it was the only paint decorating concern in this vicinity. Mr. Welch retired from business 18 years ago. He was a member of the Westfield Exempt Firemen's Association. His brother, William S. Welch, died in 1918.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Kittie Q Van Camp Welch, he is survived by three sons, Alfred H. Welch of Westfield; Raymond L. Welch of Cranford and Russell S. Welch of Burkburnett, Tex; three grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Warren Brown of Plainfield.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Gray's Funeral Home, 318 East Broad Street, and were conducted by Rev. William C. Finch, assistant minister of the Presbyterian Church, Burial was in the family plot, Fairview Cemetery,
