Henry married Marie Kopp Sept 1875 in Jósefów, Swietokrzyskie, Poland. They raised a family of two sons and four girls. Marie died in 1899 and Henry decided to immigrate to Canada with their family. His daughters, Elizabeth and Katherine arrived first in 1901 followed by Henry with Anton, Sophie and Mariya in 1902. His eldest son Peter arrived in 1903 with his wife, Ludwicka (nee Muller/Miller) and baby daughter, Mary.
