She was born in Linn Co., Iowa. On Dec. 25, 1866 she married Jehu Harlan Jr. (1834-1911). They were the parents 9 children: Carrie Adell (1867-1953), James Evans (1869-1949), Cora Alice (1870-1916), John Riley (1874-1945), Isabelle Mae (1876-1941), Maggie Belle (1878-1959), Edythe Jane (1884-1952), Hugh Austin (1886-1960), Mary Mable "Maty" (1888-1974).
Isabelle's husband died in 1911. She married Joseph A. Crafts on Jun 17 1916 in Burwell, Garfield Co., NE. In the 1920 census they were living next door to her daughter Isabelle Mae (Harlan) and William J. Brohman in Penrose, Fremont Co., CO. Mr. Crafts died there on Apr 30 1921 and is buried in the Beaver Park Cemetery at Penrose per his death certificate from State of Colorado. On Nov 18 1925 she married Columbus Buford Clayton (1847-1946) of Creighton, Knox Co., NE in Burwell, NE. They resided in Taylor, Loup Co., NE and were divorced on May 15 1928 in Taylor, NE. She died Dec 15 1928 at the home of her daughter Isabelle Mae and William J. Brohman in Penrose, Fremont Co., CO with a last name of Clayton. Burial was beside Jehu Harlan, Jr. in Cottonwood Cem., Burwell, Garfield Co., NE on Dec 20 1928.
NOTE: Her grave stone says she was born in 1847 and died in 1929. Her Death Certificate from Colorado says 1848-1928.
