Aurora and Eastport - Dorothy "Dawn" (Wilson) Jones, 68, died Sept. 12, 2004, at a Bangor healthcare facility following a brief illness, She was born Feb. 22, 1936, in Eastport, the daughter of Jack and Mabel Wilson.
She was the first woman to graduate from the carpentry program at Washington County Vocational Tech. and graduated the top of her class. She worked for Paul Bunyan Furniture Co. for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Grant and her husband, Gary, of Clifton; four sons, Douglas Elsasser and his wife, Pam, of Laguna Hills, Calif., Jack Jones and his wife, Sue, of Aurora, Craig Jones and special friend, Maria (Jenkins) Bragg, of Amherst, Carter Jones and his wife, Janelle, of Aurora; one brother, James Wilson and his wife, Regina, of Perry; five sisters, Ethel Craig, Helen Archer and her husband, Rocky, all of Eastport, Marcia Arensberg and her husband, Jack, of Sanford, Mich., Corliss Critchley and her husband, Ben, of Rochester, N.Y., Pamela Strong of Augusta; several grandchildren, David, Scotty, Travis, Kristopher, Katie, Tyler, David, Brian, Andrew, Cody, Robert, Nick and Felicia; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, one brother, Fred Wilson; two sisters, Jackie Bowen, and Beverley Carter.
