According to the 1900 U.S. Census record William, Mary and Alice immigrated to the U.S. in 1890. He had a brother, Edwin John Barnby and sister Mary Harriet(Barnby)Firth who also came to the U.S. about this time along with several cousins. So far, Lazarus Barnby(16??-1712) is the earliest known ancestor to be traced back for this family tree.
