Mrs. Wade passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012. Born in Stoneboro SC, she was a daughter of the late Carl Vernon and Susie Stover Hammond. She was a former member of Mt. Dearborn UMC in Great Falls was a member of St. John's UMC, the Julia Wright Circle and was a member of the B-L Study Club. She was a graduate of Draughon's Business College and retired from J P Stevens Co of Great Falls.
Surviving are her sons, James Tracy Childers (Sandy) of Leesville, Wilson Counts Childers (Wendy) of Nashville, TN, and Stanley Childers (Judy) of Central, step-sons, Harold Stevenson Wade, Jr., and Phillip Lee Wade, sister Nelle Hammond Stein of Camden, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
