Willie James Blount Sr., 62, of 101 Frisbie Court died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Augusta, Ga., Mr. Blount lived in Syracuse 55 years. He was formerly employed with Ruston Paving Co.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia; four daughters, Helen Gilbert, Vanessa Williams, Paris Lebby and Tamika Blount, all of Syracuse; two sons, Willie J. Blount Jr. and Christopher Jackson, both of Syracuse; a sister, Berda Heggs of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Jack of Aikens, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Second Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakwood-Morningside Cemetery.
