Biographical Information: Ed was raised on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. He and his wife, Jane, have lived in the Monticello, Indiana, community permanently since 1988, coming from Burnham, Illinois after his retirement. They had been coming to the Monticello, Indiana, community since 1974 and on their wedding anniversary they starting to build their home here in rural Monticello, Indiana. Ed belonged to Sheet Metal Local #73 in Chicago, Illinois, since 1951. He had worked at numerous sheet metal companies, and had worked over tweny-five (25) years for the fomer Pullman Industires, all of Chicago, Illinois. Ed was the superintendent. He had worked in Veracruz, Mexico doing the installation of the nuclear power plant for three (3) years. Ed engineered the renovation of the State of Illinois Building in Chicago, Illinois. Over the years of hard work and dedication, Ed received numerous awards and citations. He was very healthy, strong and never sick, and there was nothing he could not tackle. Ed did his own drafting, made a lot of his own tools, grandfather clocks, wooden model boats, furniture and cookoo clocks, there was nothing he couldn't make. Ed and his wife, Jane, wintered at Bonita Springs, Florida for eleven (11) years. He had served on the Burnhan School Board for eight (8) years, and had served as Scout Master of Scout Troop 242 for over ten (10) years, both of Burnham, Illinois. Ed was a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church of Monticello, Indiana.
