Vivalis Derr, a well known citizen of Frederick his entire life, died Friday morning at twelve minutes past three o'clock at his home, 202 Dill avenue, aged 56 years, 10 months, and 9 days. He had been a patient sufferer with turburculocis for the past 6 1/2 years. He was employed by the Ox Fibre Bruch Company as foreman of the Brush Department for 28 years just prior to his retirement from service. He was a son of Mrs. Mary Nusz Derr and the late Albert J. Derr and is survived by his wife Mrs. Zulma Haines Derr, and one daughter, Mrs Charles Wolfe, of Marianna, Pa.; five grandchildren, one sister, Miss Nena M. Derr and one brother, Vernon Derr, both of Frederick, The deceased was a member of Trinity Methodist church, the Eagles lodge. Independent Hose Co. No. 3 and was formerly a sergeant in Co. A., M, N, G, and member of the First Regiment band. For a number of years he was property man at the City Opera House.
Funeral services will be held at his late home Monday afternoon at 2:20 o'clock. Burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery. C. E. Cline and Son. funeral directors
