Billy "Scott" Cochran, 43, of Kannapolis was the son of Billy D. and Betty Campbell Cochran of Kannapolis. He was employed with Fieldcrest Cannon, Inc. Plant #1 Shipping Department for many years. Later, he worked for Piedmont Plastics in Harrisburg and then with the former Terry Products, Inc. in Kannapolis until his retirement due to disability. He was a member of Landis Baptist Church in Landis, where he helped operate the sound system, made tapes and worked with the youth of the church. He was a lifetime resident of the Kannapolis area.
Survivors include a son, Joshua Scott Cochran of Harrisburg; his mother and father, Billy D. and Betty Campbell Cochran of Kannapolis; two brothers, Randy Cochran and wife, Lynn, of Kernersville and Danny Cochran and wife, Gina, of Kannapolis; nieces and nephews, Angela, Jeffrey, Shawn and Amber Cochran; great-nieces and nephews, Chase, Irie and Shawn Cochran; and an uncle, Chandos Cochran of Kannapolis.
